Frequently asked questions

Group control, mirroring, game controls, automation, and remote control in LaiCai Screen Mirroring.

Group control and multiple phones

Can I control multiple Android phones at the same time?

Yes. Create a device group, start mirroring, and enable Group Control on the first phone in the group. Your touch gestures and key mapping input on that host are forwarded to the other phones. You can stop synchronization with the same flag button.

Follow the device group guide

Can I control a phone separately from the group?

Yes. Non-host phones still accept direct input, so you can handle an individual prompt or inspect a result. Stop Group Control before changing the host's screen if you do not want that input sent to the rest of the group.

Will group control work across different screen sizes?

Check it with your actual phones. Use the same app screen and orientation, then try one simple action. Different aspect ratios, font sizes, or app layouts can place controls differently; matching coordinates alone does not guarantee the same result.

How many phones can I connect?

Practical capacity depends on the computer, USB connections or network, video resolution, frame rate, and the work running on each device. Start with a small group and add devices while checking responsiveness.

Can I install an APK or collect screenshots from a group?

Yes. The group toolbar includes APK installation, file upload, and Group Screenshot. Check the group membership before running a batch action. It also supports group macros, AutoJS, and ADB operations.

Can I use keyboard, mouse, or controller mapping in a group?

Yes. Assign a key mapping profile to the group and check it against each game's touch layout. Group Control forwards the host's mapped input; the game continues running on each Android phone or emulator.

Configure key mapping for a device group

Can I run the same automation on multiple phones or emulators?

You can reuse a saved Flow Profile across supported Android targets. First check the task on one device, then review app state, screen layout, assets, and inputs on each additional target. A flow that works on one screen is not automatically verified on every phone.

Mirroring and connection

Is LaiCai an Android emulator?

No. LaiCai Screen Mirroring shows and controls a connected Android phone from your computer, and the phone's apps and data stay on the phone. It can also connect supported emulator instances, but it does not create an emulator itself.

Does LaiCai work on Mac and with Android emulators?

Yes. LaiCai Screen Mirroring runs on Windows and macOS, and works with real Android phones and supported emulator connections. Connect and check each device before adding it to a group.

Connect a phone or emulator

Do I need to root my phone?

No. LaiCai Screen Mirroring connects through USB debugging, which you turn on in Developer options and approve on the phone. Root access is not required.

Turn on USB debugging

How do I mirror and control my Android phone from a PC?

Install LaiCai Screen Mirroring, turn on USB debugging on the phone, connect a data-capable USB cable, and approve the computer on the phone. Select the device to open its screen, then check that a tap, Back, and text input reach the phone before you start.

Follow the connection guide

Is screen mirroring the same as controlling Android?

Mirroring displays the phone screen. Control also sends mouse or keyboard input back to the phone. LaiCai supports both; check input separately if your task requires it.

Control Android from PC

Can I record the mirrored screen or connect over Wi-Fi?

LaiCai includes screen recording and supports Wi-Fi connection workflows described in the connection guide. Verify the app you want to capture and test your actual network before a demo. Results depend on the device, app, and connection.

Check connection options

What affects latency and picture quality?

Phone and computer performance, the app or game you run, resolution, frame rate, bitrate, the USB cable, and Wi-Fi conditions all affect the result.

My phone is charging but does not appear. What should I check?

Unlock the phone and look for the USB debugging authorization prompt. Confirm USB debugging is on, then try a data-capable cable and another USB port. Charging alone does not mean the computer has a data connection.

Check Android connection setup

What if the picture works but input does not?

Check whether the problem affects the whole phone or only one app. Verify the phone's authorization and any device-specific input settings, such as the extra USB debugging switch on Xiaomi phones. Adding game key mapping will not repair a failed basic input path.

Follow the phone control guide

Why does a video app show a black area?

Some apps protect parts of their display from capture. Check whether the home screen and another ordinary app mirror correctly. If only protected content is blank, the connection itself is working. LaiCai does not bypass app capture restrictions.

Mobile games on PC

Can I play Android games on PC without an emulator?

Yes, by connecting a physical Android phone and mirroring its screen to the computer. With LaiCai, the game runs on the phone while the PC displays gameplay and sends configured input. You still need a working phone connection.

Play Android games on PC

Will my phone's game progress still be there?

Mirroring uses the game installed on the connected phone; it does not move that installation to the PC. Account sign-in, cloud saves, and cross-platform progress are controlled by the game.

How do keyboard and mouse controls work? Can I customize them?

LaiCai key mapping lets you assign keyboard and mouse inputs to touch controls such as movement and action buttons, and you can create your own layouts. Configure the layout for the game you actually use, then test it in a practice area. A change to the in-game HUD can require remapping.

Configure game key mapping

Are there ready-made key mapping profiles?

Yes. The LaiCai Community shares profiles for popular games. Download one and use it right away, then adjust the key positions to match your in-game layout.

Use a key mapping profile

Can I play with a gamepad?

Yes. LaiCai supports controller mapping, including sticks and gyro. Confirm the controls your game needs; not every game accepts every input arrangement.

Connect a gamepad

Does mirroring make the game run faster?

No. The phone still runs the game, so phone load and temperature matter. The connection and mirroring settings also affect what you see on the computer. There is no universal latency or frame-rate guarantee.

Is this supported by every mobile game?

No universal compatibility or game-policy guarantee is possible. Check the game's rules for external controls and automation, and verify the workflow before relying on it. Displaying a game, controlling it, and automating actions are separate capabilities.

LaiCai Flow automation

What is LaiCai Flow?

LaiCai Flow is an Android automation feature inside LaiCai Screen Mirroring. Build a saved workflow by connecting visual nodes for actions, screen checks, conditions, and task data. It supports AI-assisted setup and optional AI models inside a running workflow.

LaiCai Flow guide

Do I need programming skills or an AI model for every task?

No. You can create flows by dragging and connecting nodes without writing code. AI Planner and MCP can help configure a draft, while runtime AI nodes are a separate choice. Basic actions and template matching do not need an LLM; OCR, detection, or LLM steps need their corresponding engine or model configured.

Can a flow find a button, read text, or recognize an object?

Yes. Use a saved image for template matching, OCR to read a screen region, or Android UI elements when the app exposes them. For object detection, configure a supported local YOLO/ONNX model. Check the result on your actual app before connecting it to a tap.

See recognition nodes

Can an AI model analyze screen images and text?

Yes. Text analysis can use OCR, API, file, or earlier step results. A vision-capable model can analyze a captured screen image and return structured data for a later decision. Configure the model and inspect its output before relying on it.

What actions can I automate on an Android phone?

Flows can tap, swipe, long-press, drag, type text, send keys, use the clipboard, open or stop apps, and go Home or Back. Combine these with waits, conditions, loops, and reusable child flows. HTTP requests, ADB commands, AutoJS scripts, saved macros, files, and stored data can also be part of a workflow.

Can a flow speak a result or voice reminder?

Yes. The speech action uses the local speech engine on the computer running LaiCai. It can read a reminder or a result aloud there; it does not make the Android phone speak.

Flow Inside and Android Agent

Does the computer need to stay connected?

For LaiCai Flow, yes: it runs its logic and image analysis on the computer and sends actions to the connected phone. For compatible workflows that need to run on the phone by itself, use LaiCai Flow Inside with LaiCai Android Agent. Network-dependent steps still require network access.

LaiCai Flow Inside guide

What is the difference between LaiCai Flow and Flow Inside?

They use the same Flow Profile. LaiCai Flow runs on the computer: it reads the mirrored screen and sends taps, text, and swipes to the connected phone. Flow Inside deploys a compatible profile, with its models and assets, to LaiCai Android Agent, so recognition, conditions, and actions run on the phone without a computer or cable.

About LaiCai Flow Inside

Can every node run on the phone with Flow Inside?

No. Flow Inside deploys only nodes marked as Android-compatible. Screen capture, accessibility, network, or storage features also need the matching permissions on the phone.

Remote control

Do I need an app on my phone to control my computer remotely?

No. The controlling device only needs a browser signed in to your LaiCai account. Only the computer you control needs LaiCai Screen Mirroring.

Does remote control of a computer cost anything?

The computer you control needs active Premium. If it does not have Premium when you turn on remote control, the purchase window opens.

See Premium plans

Can someone else control my computer?

Only devices signed in to the same LaiCai account can see and control your computer. To block connections, switch off “Allow remote control from other devices” on the computer.

My account says remote control is off. What should I check?

Make sure the computer is on and online, LaiCai Screen Mirroring is running, and “Allow remote control from other devices” is on. On a Mac, also grant Screen Recording and Accessibility.

Does the device controlling my Android phone need an app?

No. The browser on another phone, a tablet, or a computer signed in to the same LaiCai account is enough.

Does remote control of the phone cost extra?

No. The phone uses the Premium of the computer it is linked to, and every phone linked to that computer can be controlled.

See Premium pricing

Do the phone and controller need the same Wi-Fi?

No. Both only need an internet connection. A few networks block direct connections, and the page tells you when it cannot connect.

Can someone without an account control my phone?

Yes, with a share code. They just open the link you send or enter the code; no sign-up needed.
