Mouse-Position Cast

Map a keyboard key to a position-targeted skill, place its aim origin, and calibrate all eight directions so the system cursor and in-game cast point line up.

Best for skills whose cast point should follow the current mouse position relative to a fixed aiming origin.

01

Create the mapping

Open Input Mapping, choose Mouse-Position Cast under Mapping Behavior, keep Input Source set to Keyboard, and add the skill on key 2. You can use another available key if it better fits your layout.

02

Show only this mapping

Turn on Show Mapping Layer. If other bindings make the screen crowded, use the filter in the upper-left corner to display only this mapping.

03

Place the skill button and aim origin

Place the skill control on the in-game skill button, then place the aim origin at the center used to calculate the mouse direction and distance.

04

Match the actual cast range

Resize the cast range to match how far the in-game skill can really be dragged. Test the edge of the range before fine calibration.

05

Calibrate all eight directions

Compare the system cursor with the in-game cast point in the upper, upper-right, right, lower-right, lower, lower-left, left, and upper-left directions. Move each direction point with small adjustments and test again.

Confirm precise alignment

Repeat the eight-direction check until the cursor and cast point line up across the usable range. Direction-specific adjustments make position targeting more precise.
