How to remotely control your Android phone

Once remote control is on for a phone, you can view that Android phone’s screen from the browser on another phone, a tablet, or a computer, and tap and swipe to operate it. Nothing needs to be installed on the controlling device.

Before you start

  • LaiCai Android Agent is installed on the phone you want to control and linked to a computer on your account
  • The linked computer has active Premium; the phone uses that computer’s Premium at no extra cost, and every phone under that computer can be controlled
  • The browser you control from is signed in to the same LaiCai account, and the phone stays on and online

Turn it on on the phone

1

Turn on remote control

On the phone you want to control, open LaiCai Android Agent, go to Settings → Permissions, and tap “Turn on” under “Allow remote control”. The phone then stays online and the notification shows “Ready for remote control”.

2

Turn on Accessibility

On the same page, tap “Open Accessibility Settings” under “Accessibility” and turn on “LaiCai” in system settings. Taps, swipes, and the navigation buttons on the web page all need this permission.

3

Allow screen recording in advance (recommended)

On the same page, tap “Allow Screen Recording” under “Screen Recording”; if the system asks what to share, choose the entire screen. After that, every connection shows the screen right away. Without it, the phone shows a system screen-recording prompt on every connection, and someone has to allow it on the phone.

Connect from the account center

4

Open “Control my computer”

In the browser on a phone, tablet, or computer, sign in to the same account on laicaiapp.com and open “Control my computer” in the account center. Phones are listed under the computer they are linked to.

Open “Control my computer”
5

Choose the phone

On a phone marked “Ready to control”, select “Control”. If the phone shows “Remote control is off”, go back and check step 1. If the linked computer shows “Requires Premium”, its phones are not listed; select “Upgrade” to buy Premium for that computer.

6

Start controlling

Once connected, the phone’s screen appears on the page and the phone’s notification shows “Remote control in progress”. When controlling from a phone, hold it upright; the buttons are described in the table below.

How to control the phone

The phone screen takes touch input directly, and a row of icon buttons sits below it.

Safety and connections

  • Only devices signed in to the same LaiCai account can control your phone from the account center. To let someone without an account control it, use sharing with a code.
  • A phone can be controlled from only one window at a time. Connecting from another window disconnects the first one, and when you connect, anyone controlling the phone through a shared code is disconnected.
  • While the screen is shared, the Android status bar shows a screen-sharing indicator and the system may hide sensitive content in some apps. This is Android behavior.
  • If the network drops briefly, the page reconnects automatically. If the system’s battery saving closes LaiCai Android Agent, the phone shows “Remote control is off”; opening the Agent again brings it back online.
  • Turning off “Allow remote control” on the phone stops all connections and also stops the phone’s code sharing.
