Mouse-Directed Cast

Map a keyboard key to a directional skill, aim with the mouse, and calibrate each direction so the pointer and in-game cast line up.

Best for directional skills that use a draggable virtual joystick beside the skill button.

01

Create the mapping

Open Input Mapping, choose Mouse-Directed Cast under Mapping Behavior, keep Input Source set to Keyboard, and add the skill on key 1.

02

Show only this mapping

Turn on Show Mapping Layer. If other bindings make the screen crowded, use the filter in the upper-left corner to display only this mapping.

03

Place the skill circle and match its range

Place the first, larger blue circle over the skill button. This is where LaiCai touches and holds. Resize its radius to match the skill's actual draggable range as closely as possible; the game area does not need to be a perfect circle.

04

Set the aiming origin

Place the second blue circle at the aiming origin. Press key 1 to test: the cast direction should now follow the mouse pointer.

05

Calibrate direction points

If the pointer and actual cast direction are offset, turn the mapping layer back on and move the corresponding direction point. In the video, the upper point moves left, the upper-right point moves up and left, and the right point moves upward. Test after each small adjustment.

🎯

Check every direction you use

Repeat the same process for any remaining directions until the pointer and cast direction align. Small, direction-specific adjustments make aiming more precise.
