Gamepad Gyroscope Mapping

Map a gamepad gyroscope to control the in-game camera or another directional control area in LaiCai Screen Mirroring.

The controller must expose its gyroscope in NS / Nintendo Switch mode. In this example, ordinary Bluetooth and 2.5G wireless modes are not used for gyroscope mapping.

Add a Gyro mapping

Open Input Mapping and add a Gamepad mapping. Choose Gyro as the input and Camera as the mapping behavior; the summary appears as Gyro -> Camera.

Adjust Sensitivity

Sensitivity controls how strongly controller motion moves the mapped direction. This example lowers the value to 0.5; adjust it to match your game and controller.

Choose when Gyro is active

Activation Input can stay on Always On, or you can assign any supported gamepad button. This tutorial uses the A button as an example; it is not a required button.

Use NS / Nintendo Switch mode

Switch the controller to NS / Nintendo Switch mode so LaiCai can detect its gyroscope. The controller must reconnect in this mode before you test the mapping.

Place the Gyro marker

Open the Mapping Layer, place the Gyro marker over the camera-control area, and enable Feedback if you want to see the mapped motion while testing.

Test camera control

If you assigned an activation button, hold it while tilting or rotating the controller. The camera should follow the controller motion; release the button to stop the Gyro mapping.

Use Gyro for another direction area

Gyro can also control another directional area. Move the Gyro marker onto the on-screen movement control, then tilt the controller right, left, forward, or backward to test each direction.

Confirm the controller mode, activation choice, marker position, and sensitivity before saving. Use the button and sensitivity values that fit your own setup.
